Daily Spiritual Activities

Godavari Maha Aarti

Every evening at 7:00 PM, a grand Aarti is performed at Ram Kund. It is a mesmerizing sight with hundreds of priests chanting and thousands of lamps lighting up the river.

Satsang & Pravachan

Daily spiritual discourses by famous Kathakars and Saints. These are held in various 'Pandals' across Sadhu Gram from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Anna-Daan (Free Meals)

Most Akharas run 24x7 community kitchens. Serving and eating here is considered a part of the spiritual journey during the Kumbh period.

Important Event Details

The Peshwai (The Grand Parade)

The Peshwai is the formal arrival of the Akharas. This is a 5-6 km long parade where the Saints showcase their martial arts, traditional weapons, and spiritual symbols. It usually starts 2-3 days before each Shahi Snan.

Snan Sequential Order

For security and tradition, the Akharas follow a strict order for the holy bath. First are the Shaiva Akharas (Juna, Niranjani), followed by the Vaishnava (Ani) Akharas, and then the common public is allowed to enter the water.

Visitor Guidelines for Event Days

  • Vehicles are banned within 5km of the Ghats on Shahi Snan days.
  • Mobile networks might be jammed due to heavy crowd; carry emergency contact details.
  • Follow the queue system managed by Nashik Police for a smooth experience.
